During the PADI Open Water Diver course, participants gain the essential knowledge needed to explore the underwater world using scuba equipment. Most participants find it a satisfying challenge. Obtaining the PADI Open Water Diver certification demonstrates that the participant meets the program’s requirements. Dive centers and resorts require proof of certification before renting scuba equipment, filling diving cylinders, or booking dive trips. As a PADI Open Water Diver, you will train to a maximum depth of 18 meters and be certified to dive in conditions as good as, or even better than, those in which you trained. This is just the beginning of a lifetime full of diving adventures.
